Our Faith

We believe that the Bible is the only inspired, infallible and inerrant, authoritative Word of God. It is the only true standard for the believer’s life and practice. The Bible contains all things necessary for the salvation of all peoples of the world.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in the three Persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ; His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he was tempted by Satan and fell, and that the Bible clearly states that all following Adam have sinned and become sinful. Repentance toward God, faith in Jesus Christ, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit are absolutely necessary for salvation.

We believe that every believer is called to sanctification through identification with Jesus Christ in his death and resurrection. Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit every believer is illumined, enlightened and enlivened and through His guidance and strengthening he/she is fully consecrated to the will of God and receives power for holy living and effective service.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling empowering and gifting the Christian is enabled to live a life of godliness, a life of pure, noble and lofty ethical values and moral standards, a life of effective service.

We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost, those who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

 We believe that all believers should live lives of faith of whole hearted consecration to Christ, and continual prayer and consecration for the fulfilling of the Great Commission to go into the world to make disciples of all nations.

OUR PURPOSE

SEMII was founded to train leaders who would transform local churches, and the communities beyond the church to reflect the values of Jesus Christ and His Kingdom. The focus of our ministry is aimed specifically towards the cultural, religious, and social world of the each and everyone. To reach this goal, our students are provided with an integrated programme of instruction which includes:

• Sound biblical knowledge covering the essential elements of Christian faith and doctrine

• Commitment to the New Testament scriptures as the norm for the life, mission and ministry for the Christian and the church today.

• Genuine Christian spiritual formation and discipleship leading to a deeper love for God and a desire to please Him in every area of life

• Training to serve the Christian community as well as the world around us by imitating the Spirit of Jesus Christ, our Master, in sincere humility and loving sacrifice

• Developing contextual, culturally-sensitive approaches in ministry that will enable Asian societies to experience the world-transforming power of the kingdom of God

• Holistic leadership skills to create and manage formal Christian churches and agencies for the glory of God

SEM is committed to continually enhance the quality and reach of her ministry to inspire many more leaders to give their best to exalt Christ as the light of His church and His world.

• Spiritual Formation: Apart from regular, formal events like Mission Focus and Seek-the-Spirit Day, true Christian spiritual formation happens through godly relationships. Coming from diverse cultural backgrounds, our students learn that Christ must be formed both personally and communally!
